The Garden State is one of America's most industrial and well populated states. From its northern "gateway" area whose economy is tied in with New York City to southern seaside suburbs, New Jersey has a diverse economy, people and landscape. Although much of its substantial population doesn't live in large cities, New Jersey remains an important state for business.
